FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What's in your Playdough?
A: Flour, Salt, Cream of Tartar, Water, and Oil. We use small amounts of food coloring to dye the dough.
Q: Why is my dough forming white crust?
A: Our dough is nontoxic. The only preservative found in our dough is salt. Over time the dough can dry out, creating salt crystals on the surface. This is totally fine and can usually be revived with a drop of water or oil. In order to keep your playdough fresh and prevent premature drying, keep playdough wrapped or in an airtight container.
Q: I am Local, Can I pick up my Order?
A: YES! Use code LOCALPICKUP at checkout to avoid shipping costs. You can pick up from Fairfax, Amana, or Cedar Rapids. You will receive an email after checkout with options on where to pick up from.
Q: How long does the playdough last?
A: Playdough that is stored in an airtight container and kept on a shelf can be expected to last around 3 months. Playdough that is frequently played with will last quite a bit longer as long as stored properly. It's best to keep playdough in a cool and dry place.
Q: What age should play with your kits?
A: We recommend ages 2 and up due to small pieces. Parent supervision is always necessary for sensory play.
Q: What happens if my child eats some of the dough?
A: Our playdough is taste-safe due to being made with food grade ingredients, however we do not recommend that it is consumed. Parental supervision is always needed for sensory play.
